Kid's Garden Hunt
September 2 & 3

The Redding Garden Club will be sponsoring a “Kid’s Garden Hunt” to be held Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3.  Children up to the age of 12 can pick up a hunt sheet at Town Hall, the Community Center or the Mark Twain Library the week prior to the hunt with the posters going up on Saturday morning. ***Click here to download Garden Hunt Checkoff Sheet***

Children will go to various Redding Garden Club Civic sites and look for the poster picture. Then, they'll match that picture with the garden site on the hunt sheet.  When they have completed the sheet, the first fifty children will receive a prize from the Redding Garden Club on Sunday, September 3, at the Town Hall Gazebo, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  In keeping with the Redding Town Sesquicentennial celebration, the symbols are representative of the Revolutionary time period.

Young Gardeners Helping Seniors

Student gardeners have started a new project in town. They're helping care for the senior's vegetable garden at the Redding Community Center. Sarah and Shannon recently spent a sunny afternoon helping get the garden ready to plant.

Tussy Mussies

The RGC's youth activities are going strong! Students got together at the Mark Twain Library to create Tussie Mussies (small flower arrangements) for hospice patients. Thanks, everyone!

Pollinator Garden

These photos represent the first planting of the Pollinator Garden last fall. Students partnered with 3E students in the planting.

Congratulations to the gardeners! The site has been established as a"Certified Schoolyard Habitat Site" through the National Wildlife Federation.
